Nadeem is the founder of Telenor (formerly Tameer) Microfinance Bank, with its EasyPaisa offering rated as the world’s second largest branchless banking solution. His latest venture, Planet N Group, is Pakistan’s foremost technology-focused growth capital and incubator platform, comprising 22 companies in the AdTech, FinTech, Virtual Reality, Mobile Gaming, E-Commerce, E-Media, and E-Health.
Jeroo is a social entrepreneur and the founder of several international NGOs. Her work has been featured in several books. Her most recent initiatives include Aflatoun (Child Savings International), Childline India Foundation and Child Helpline International, and Child and Youth Finance International. Jeroo’s newest initiative is the One Family Foundation, which focuses on incubating and scaling projects.
Jenny Kim is the Deputy General Counsel, Political Law & Vice President of Public Policy for Koch Companies Public Sector, LLC, which provides services to Koch Industries, Inc. and its affiliates. Kim leads and oversees political law compliance for the United States, including federal and state, as well as Canada and the European Union. She also manages public policy issues, including running the criminal justice reform portfolio.
Genein Letford is an award-winning educator, best-selling author and global speaker on the creative and financial literacies. As a TEDx speaker and top creativity trainer, she has inspired many educators to develop to their creative abilities in order to produce innovative ideas for the classroom and workspace. She is the founder and Chief Creative Officer of CAFFE Strategies, LLC.
Tony Via, PhD
Dr. Via is currently an assistant professor of finance at Kent State University. He received his Ph.D in finance from the University of Alabama in 2014. He greatly enjoys teaching and interacting with students, and he especially values creating new financial perspectives for students new to the subject. His research interests are in the areas of corporate finance and investments. In particular, much of his research focus has been on corporate governance, executive compensation, innovation, corporate social responsibility, and political contributions.
Since graduating from MIT (‘86 BS+MS Computer Engineering, ‘85 BS Journalism), Bill has been wrapped up in data. He arrived at Oracle in time to help usher in SQL for transaction processing, eventually moved on to analytics once there was enough data to analyze, and then with more data and processing power, into machine learning. There’s historical detail on LinkedIn, but his main interest now is in making the world a better place. Hobbies: gardening, beekeeping, triathlon, biotech venture capital
Tarun Agarwall, PhD
Tarun has more than two decades of rich experience in the Banking and Financial Services space with leading institutions such as SBI, ICICI, HDFC, RBL Bank, FINO Payments Bank and Grameen. He has worked extensively in the areas of Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, Impact Investing, Digital Payments, Inclusive Growth, Strategic Planning, Business Development, and microfinance. He has been honored and conferred upon – ‘India Inclusive Business Leader’ award by International Finance Corporation, and The World Bank Group and “Stallion” in finance.
James Glasgow, PhD
Jim's research interests include computer ethics and the ancient philosophical concepts of virtue and justice. Additionally, he is interested in information technology history, how technology affects the human need for solitude, and health information systems. He has given presentations in the area of computer ethics in New York, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Glasgow is a FBI InfraGard member and has attended meetings at the Cleveland FBI office. InfraGard is associated with the FBI and is dedicated to sharing sensitive but unclassified information and intelligence.
